At World Health Care Infrastructure, each functional team works in partnership with a group of staff with cultural and geographic expertise.
► Africa: Work in Africa is managed by Dr. Helena A. Kwakwa, MD, MPH. Dr. Kwakwa, a native of Ghana, considered one of Philadelphiia's premier HIV/AIDS physicians, has over 15 years of experience providing direct care in HIV/AIDS, as well as training other medical practitioners. A graduate of Yale University School of Medicine who conducted her residency at Brown University, Dr. Kwakwa has been awarded the Mazzoni Award for Excellence in Clinical Care of Patients with HIV as well as a Mayoral Commendation from John F. Street (Mayor of Philadelphia) for her community education work in HIV. Dr. Kwakwa has conducted extensive research in providing world, and access to care among people living with HIV. She is the author of an abstract entitled "HIV Needs Assessment of African Communities in Philadelphia".
