At World Health Care Infrastructure, each functional team works in partnership with a group of staff with cultural and geographic expertise.
► Central America, South America, and the Caribbean: Ms. Wilma J.T. Ferdinando, MSW spearheads WHCI's work in Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. Ms. Ferdinando, a native of Venezuela, is responsible for the provision of technical assistance through the Pennsylvania Case Management Coordination Project, as well as through the ACTS AmeriCorps National Direct Program. Ms. Ferdinando is bi-lingual (Spanish and English) with extensive experience providing multiculturally targeted trainings. Ms. Ferdinando has over ten years of experience in Social Work and served as a case manager for both Blacks educating Blacks About Sexual Health Issues (BEBASHI) and Congreso de Latinos Unidos. Ms. Ferdinando receives a citation from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania House of Representatives for "Outstanding Service to the HIV/AIDS Community" and the Wong Moss Prestigious Award for her work.
